You have all those big ticket items and still a few months to go. What's left? Here's a list of even more things to stress about:

We never consciously decided to have a long engagement. We got engaged during proposal (Christmas) season, and started looking at venues a month later, after we came back from our tour of Europe. The venue we decided on had half off the room rental if the wedding was on a Sunday, so we decided to get married on the Sunday before Memorial Day. This left us with nearly a year and a half engagement. With only a few days left until the wedding, I look back and reflect on our amazing engagement period and why I liked having those 17 months.
This past weekend marked two weeks before our big day. The two week mark is when nearly every vendor requires payment. All they money in my savings account has now been sent to the allocated recipient. With less than a week and a half left of wedding planning, I wanted to write out my thoughts on how to actually set a budget.
Just like his human parents, Sheriff also got a DNA test for Christmas. Many people ask me what type of dog our tri-colored, one-in-a-half year old mutt is. The shelter told us he was a Catahoula and a few people have verified his Catahoula-like image. Turns out, he has no Catahoula in him at all (though, I doubt Catahoula is a breed that the test check for).
My mom got Zach and me DNA tests for Christmas. The tests were 50% off for the week of Black Friday from 23andMe, so they were about $50 each. We ordered them Monday, and they arrived in about a week. We wanted to know what the results of the test were around Christmas, so we opened the boxes a little after Thanksgiving.
