I saw these beautiful aisle signs on Pinterest and looked up their price on Etsy and didn't want to pay that much, so I decided to make my own. I also realized that the large ones looked better, but they might get knocked over as people sat down, so I decided to create smaller hanging ones. (I also wanted to get white lanterns for next to the chairs, but that's an idea that didn't pan out). Here's how I made aisle signs for less than $50.

There's really no point on reflecting on your wedding. You can't change it, and you hope you don't have another one. However, maybe I can document my lessons learned for someone else.
One of my friends gave me bookends for Christmas. There was an A one and a Z one, for Amber and Zach (my now husband). Because our website played on the A & Z theme, I wanted to incorporate these bookends into our wedding decor. Plus, I am a huge fan of utilizing wedding decor around my home, or my home decor in my wedding. Here is how I made the card-box.
I really wish I had a blog during my trip to Europe. I just wish I documented more throughout the entire trip, and a blog would have forced me to. The more days pass since that trip, the less I remember, so I will take the time to document as much as I can.
We decided to take a trip during our winter break of our senior year in college. We figured that this was the last time we would be able to take a long vacation, and I wanted to see as much as possible to make the price of the international flight more worth it. We had some money saved up from our summer internships (I worked 60 hours that summer to pay off as much of my loans as possible). I saw a Groupon for a 3 week trip from Go-Today, which included flights from JFK to Europe, flights between the 6 cities, and accommodation for 2 nights in each city. We ended up picking a different trip from Go-Today with only 5 cities, but 3 nights in each city, so about the same length. Honestly, 17 days of traveling was quite long. |
