I saw these beautiful aisle signs on Pinterest and looked up their price on Etsy and didn't want to pay that much, so I decided to make my own. I also realized that the large ones looked better, but they might get knocked over as people sat down, so I decided to create smaller hanging ones. (I also wanted to get white lanterns for next to the chairs, but that's an idea that didn't pan out). Here's how I made aisle signs for less than $50.

One of my friends gave me bookends for Christmas. There was an A one and a Z one, for Amber and Zach (my now husband). Because our website played on the A & Z theme, I wanted to incorporate these bookends into our wedding decor. Plus, I am a huge fan of utilizing wedding decor around my home, or my home decor in my wedding. Here is how I made the card-box.
As the end of soccer season wraps up and baseball season begins, I wanted to show how I created easy splatter paint art. I made the Sporting KC one as a Christmas gift for a family friend and the Royals one as a birthday gift for my step-dad. This gift is easy to make and a great idea when you completely forgot you need to gift someone something and only have 48 hours to put something together. Plus, I wanted my 13 year old step-sister to be involved, and this was something that she could help with without my controlling/perfectionist nature wanting to strangle her.
Note: This "Amiibo" cannot be used in a Nintendo Game. This "Amiibo" was created to entertain. The "Amiibo" is designed to look like our family and play a slideshow of our time together. It cannot be read by an Amiibo reader on any Nintendo device.
Many video game lovers (or video game lover lovers, as I am) have a few Amiibos if they have a Nintendo console. From a non-gamer's perspective, they are little figurines that look like video game characters and unlock certain items in Nintendo games. My fiance has several dozens of them that I get to designate a home for once we live together. And, with my loose understanding of what they are, I decided to make my own for our 4 year dating anniversary. So here is a tutorial on how to craft your own Amiibo. I finally finished addressing my wedding invitations, and all out guests should be receiving them in a few days. Overall, address envelopes are an insignificant part of the wedding process. I didn't want to DIY major projects and risk ruining them, so this task was a fun thing to do to keep my mind off how close the wedding was actually coming.
